How to make a city not build anything for a round? I am at the maximum capacity, any more units will bring me deficit. How do I make the city not build anything for a round?

Is there any easy way to find the units that either are automated or sleeping? I spent 25 minutes just to track done some great artists that I "misplaced" on a huge map...

Can you switch to building 'research', 'wealth' or 'culture'? If not, then in future, there are techs that allow you to build these things. I <think> you can build research when you've discovered writing, and wealth when you've got currency???

Q: How do I make the city not build anything for a round?

ANSWER - easiest thing to do - change the production item to Finance/Culture for the city- it then converts output by 50% to /culture or $$.

You can also go to the city screen and check the "emphasize XXX" choice that you want. Refer to page 49 of the manual - and look at the "city management menu"

Answer: on the Militrary advisor screen you can click on a unit - and it will flash where they are on the minimap in the adviser screen - then close out of advisor and go click your unit.

Hold on, I thought building those things would permanently consume my improvements. Will they?

Building Cash, Research, or Culture just uses your production to build those things. It doesn't have an effect on anything else. There is no way to destroy buildings. (Aside from losing the city to an enemy )
