How Would a Super-Hoplite Do?

Let's imagine you can somehow organize Phalanx armored in top of the line high-impact plastic with steel inserts and a stab/cut resistant fiber body suit and a transparent face mask. Imagine their spears are made of the same thing, with metal filaments for rigidity and balance and a tungsten carbide head. How do you think they would fair in Bronze age warfare? Presume training and such is on par with normally competent city-states.
