Huge maps seem the word of the day

What about if you just don't do it?

It's bad etiquette that you even post.

I'm not sure if it's known for fact that dual-core system is the minimum sys requirement... which means my dual-core is in that minimum category. The graphics keep looking better and better every new screenshot I see, so the final game will likely be hefty. They did mention scalable graphics will help keep it from being a system hog though.

I won't be buying a new comp just for a game, so depending on performance, I will just play smaller maps.

@LiDDiS, good point, technically huge maps should not affect gameplay in any way shape or form...

If the combat is similiar to Panzer General at all, then it'll require huge maps. A big part of that game is going around enemy positions to hit them from behind, and another big part is having a lot of terrain to hide in. If they maintained the Civ4-scale, you'd very quickly end up with units covering every single tile, and especially the front next to an enemy would be covered with so many units it would be impossible to break through.
