I don't remember it generating blocks like this before...

If naturalists could climb mountains, well, that would certainly change my district placement...

I've got a massive range of mountains on my landmass, although it is properly stretched out, it is unbelievably long. It's on average 3 mountains wide.

Very commonly you get a range that splits it in half. Sometimes it traps you on the coast and that always sucks. That is why I don't like coastal bias.

I've seen these before the expansion, sometimes civs get trapped in there because they start in a single tile between all those mountains. Sometimes they form continent-long ranges as well. I like it, it looks more natural than the werd clumps of mountains like in civ 5 or whatever the mountains in civ 4 where supposed to be.

Not new, just very rare.

I love these situations, it forces you to change style.
It may be hard to get a traditional 4 victory but you should judge your game on the difficulties you face, not the outcome which is fairly meaningless really. Some of my best games I have lost.

Sometimes I feel alone in the world.

I've seen massive blocks of mountains in recent playthroughs and it's annyoing for exploring. As it has been in RL. I like it! :)

That is AWESOME! :woohoo:

I always play continents, normally more spines than blocks and never seen one that big, rather extreme, shame naturalists are not mountaineers.

It'd be nice if there were a few late game additions that could be worked into mountains. I think a ski resort improvement that gave tourism & gold would be totally appropriate!

Agreed. It’s overcoming challenges that make each game meaningful.

Maybe they'll get there in Expansion 2. R&F gave the seas a lot of love (aquaculture & Water Parks), so maybe we'll see the mountains get some attention next time.

Even if you could only build one ski resort per city. That or you have to choose between that and some fancy mine lol

I really like the idea of doing more with mountains. Perhaps a DLC with the Inca would be an ideal way to start that and then flesh it out in the second expansion. :)
