I can't fire my nukes? Help please.

I am trying to fire my nukes but all the tiles show up as grey instead of green. Why is this so. Please help me soon. Thanks in advance.

Have you declared war on the civ you're attacking? You can't fire a nuke if units from any civ you are not currently at war with will be caught in the blast radius.

maybe you've got an unit or an ally unit near the tile you want to nuke. you can't nuke your own troops since civ has some morality!!
