I Can't Move My Dudes!

Hi All,
I was inspired to play some Vic2 after a multi-year hiatus. Used to be an Emperor-to-Deity level single player, but now I'm a super-Newb!

I have a VERY basic question: How do I move my units?

I have a computer without a number pad, and my 4 arrows will not go to every square. I tried plugging in a mouse, but highlighted units don't just walk to the squares I click on.

HELP, I need my Civ2 Fix!

I would strongly recommend buying a USB number pad so that you can play properly; I did this for my first laptop.

Check your laptop keyboard; there might be a key to press that will turn part of your keyboard into a number pad.

Check your keyboard; are there little tiny numbers on some of the letters? If so, you can use the NumLock to make the letters into a numerical keypad. But this only works if you don't want to type any words. If you want to type words, you have to turn the NumLock off.

Since that is a Royal Pain In The Anatomy, I bought an external numerical keypad, and vowed that every keyboard/laptop I purchased forever more would include its own numerical keypad. It's the dealbreaker for me. I gotta have my Civ!

..did y0u just say CLICK..?XD .,d0nt have to buy num'key..just drag the units, n0t click on the dest. tile..

For whatever reason my numpad wasn't doing it. I eventually got my fix by hooking up an external mouse which let me drag my dudes around... Still obnoxious but it worked.

After a couple games, i had my Mojo back.
