Okay, some of you know my obsession with getting an older computer for gaming. And I finally did, for 25 bucks at a yard sale.

It has Windows 98, 20gig hard drive, and a pretty good processor. (I forgot the exact specs.) Also a DVD-ROM drive, I think somebody ripped out the CD-ROM and installed the DVD-ROM. The mouse that came with it had a bent pin (it wasn't USB) but we had a spare one anyways so that wasn't a problem. The guy who sold it had just got a new one, so it's not broken or nothing. He gave it to me cheap cos it was taking up room.

Just did the virus/spyware check, it's clean. Also came with ClarisWorks, which I used in elementry school, so that will bring back good memories.

Right now I'm installing my games on it. My mom likes it too, I wonder if I'll get a chance to play on it.

He didnt wipe the hard drive? Not very smart of him.

Well, I'm not malicious, so I just deleted the crap.

Hehe, I got an old lappy too ( p3 600mhz, 192mb ram, 14gb hdd, 8mb ati rage integrated gfx) but I installed Windows Xp on it, it runs like a dog but at least it's stable unlike win98 :p. Haven't really found any problems with old games on xp, for the ones that are very old and run turbo mode in xp stock dos emulator, I just use DOSbox...
For others, even stuff like ''paratrooper'' ( the 4 bit one), commander keen 5, etc run fine and after fiddling a bit with compatibility modes 99% is able to run on xp...

There's a converter for turning a usb mouse/keyboard to the old pin style, BTW.
