I discovered something in FireFox

I do however use Opera for my more Private web browsing. I like the following two options: 1) Save to Download Folder in the right-click and 2) Tools > Delete Private Data. ;)

The Tools> Links option can be handy as well, you can type partial search terms and select multiple files/links.

I like ff better than Opera because of Ad Block Plus (ABP). I am sure there is something available for Opera but I am too lazy to look for it since I am very satisfied with ff 3.x.

I use Admuncher, better than ABP in my experience, and it works for all my browsers.

Not free though, which is going to keep a lot of people away...

I just found something really cool about FoxyTunes, it will play media clips on websites:
http://www.foxytunes.com/mediaplayers/yahoo-media-player/
Yahoo! Media Player

The Yahoo! Media Player is a revolutionary and easy to use music player that plays audio on any website.

The latest version of FoxyTunes automatically detects web pages that have music on them, allows playing this music right there on the page with the Yahoo! Media Player, and conveniently control it from FoxyTunes.
I ran across it when I hit a Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Alewives).

I still use FF 2.

3 was too slow, even with tweaking, and some of my extensions didn't work, even with the force compatability add-on thingy.

I dont know what you're smoking, but FF3 is so much faster than 2 now. Most of the popular extensions have gotten upgraded for compatibility, and most of those that havent will likely never get upgraded as they arent being developed anymore.

Well, I clicked on a page. Waited about 2 minutes. Went to take bath. Came back. It still was loading.

That would probably be a problem with your connection or the server to which you were trying to connect.

Well I had a problem with the 3.01 version. It refused to load any website. So I uninstalled FF and reinstalled the 3.00 version.

I had a problem with the update process that did the same thing. The small, partial update messed something up and I couldnt load any pages either. Had to go and install the full update.

Well, I have not trouble with FF2. :mischief:

For firefox: Tools > Clear Private Data.

I agree with you about Opera being better but 9.5 screwed up my settings so I'm waiting it out until 9.52 .

Well, part of the reason I switched to FireFox is because before FireFox, I used Netscape. I preferred Netscape to IE. And then finally, because they stopped updating Netscape, I switched to FireFox. Never turned back.

Isn't Netscape based on Mozilla? Or the other way around? I've got a headache and am not remembering too good.

Netscape is an earlier version of monzilla that i believe is no longer being made.

the people who founded Mozilla came from Netscape. They took a lot of the ideas and from netscape, hence why they looked so similar at first.

I've never been an IE user, because I started using Netscape very soon after I first started on the web back in 95 or so. The only reason to keep IE is that some Java and Flash won't run for me in FF. (which might be that I have ads to locked down, but it's easier to watch that 1 thing in IE than it is to find the right settings. )

Or, you could use IE Tab.

There is one site that actually blocks FireFox, because FireFox users have AdBlockPlus, which, according to him, is "stealing" from him. Just google "adblock plus stealing." Hilarious!
