I don't see the resemblance.

I don't either. Does that mean I have no political eyesight ?

This is the best one I have ever seen

That's Dobby the house elf from Harry Potter apparently.

I see it, and oh my god am I laughing.

Mind you, amiee, I'm a Tom Petty fan.

I always thought the late Senator Paul Simon looked a lot like the late popcorn magnate Orville Redenbacher.

Obligatory source comment:

:run: PUFFINGTON :run:

Sorry, you're going to need to find a different source before I even begin to consider this.

Well, I just saw the link on the Tom Petty board.

I'm just having fun with a CFC meme.

Stay away from puffington, though... that internet-fringie hate-based stuff will warp your mind.

I see it! The long hair, the gaunt face, the adams apple.

It's no worse than the Ministry of Truth :dunno:

I can understand not accepting Huffington Post as a source for serious news stories, but rejecting it for silly politician-entertainer/cartoon/puppet comparisons? Come one, how much credibility do you need for that?

That was kind of my point, Mag.

People reject Fox articles that are merely reprints from the AP, because the link is Fox. I've also seen people reject obvious facts, because the link is Fox. That's the same as rejecting funny cartoons, because the link is whatever.

But puffington really is an internet-fringie hate-based propaganda machine, which adds another dimension to the joke.

Of course one might note that, of the 17 pictures, only 4 are democrats.

God, they're both horrendously ugly.

OK, I got one for you... Spot the similarity(ies) between these two:

Barack_Obama.jpg
gorbachev.jpg

Spoiler :
Both were fresh, charismatic leaders who promised hope and change
Both came to power as their nations were crumbling beneath them
Both were at war in Afghanistan
Both won the Nobel Peace Prize

Someone has been watching The Daily Show!

The only difference being Gorbachev actually relaxed government controls, not rapidly ratcheted them further upwards.

Also the United States still exists

Will this hurt Obama politically?
