I have onced met a girl from Norway in MMO and she was super cool !

I like Norway, and visited Oslo in the past. A nice city.
Despite them having a very small population, there are a lot of notable Norwegian artists.
Good for them that they became rich. More chance their society will keep getting better, and maybe (despite their own wealth) sending some Varangoi here again

WTH is this? I thought this was a "fun" thread. I made a simple joke. Rather on the nose i thought. But no i get "corrected" and informed about 15% Lapplander ancestry. And in the other thread the people who are usually all like "you are all going to hell!" and "no that wasn't an insult, here read the fine print!" are being all easily insulted.

I can take devious irony most days, but some days I might have a beer to many, as Mr Borachio so nicely put it.
But the fact is as to my response, is that you hit the nail with that last comment.
I've met many Norwegians and while they they warmly greet you and make you feel welcome, they will turn on you after some beers and accuse you for Sweden's failure to stand up against Germany and allow them to ship stuff through their country.
I've even been threaten physically and one guy drew a knife on me, until I quickly mentioned that my parents were Finnish. I had to prove it by showing my ID! And he knew Finnish people before and saw that my last name was indeed very Finnish, so he apologized and wanted me to buy him a beer. With his hand fiddling in his pocket I agreed. That was scary.
Young or old, it doesn't matter, if you're from Sweden they secretly hates your guts.
First because of the Hitler thing.
Second because our jokes about them actually hurts them!
But please, metatron, keep the irony flowing. Most of the days I actually catch it.

Think about it: Gustav Adolph was a competent ruler and a brilliant strategist who almost conquered Europe, but left Norway alone. What other conclusion can you reach other than that this skillful individual actually secretly was Norwegian?
