I have a bad problem... (sorry for my terrible english)

Cpu amd athlon xp64 3500

1.5 gb ram

ati radeon sapphire 9550 (last drive ati catalyst 5.11 11/11/2005)

direct x 9c installed (from the civilization dvd)

until the process phase (xml,and other) in the phase " init game engine" the game stopping!!

in the video compare a message :

"failed to load renderer chek the directx version and the graphic setting"

help me...

Did you install the patch 1.09. You can download it from the main page. I think it lists a fix included for the ati cards.
