I'm not sure how to interpret these so I hope you can make more sense of them than I can. If ya need any others, let me know and I'll get them up ASAP :D

okay...

Lose the - in front of rows. Just don't ever use them. They're not supposed to be there, period.

Copy/paste the file into wordpad, ultraedit, notepad++ and do a find/replace on
- <Row> to <Row> (There's a space between the dash and <... so make sure you catch then when you replace it.)

As for the scroll bar, in the vanilla (no mods) on the first civ selection, there is no scrollbar... for 2nd+ civs, they're present. This is the same for when your mod and the Corsica mod (v4) is installed and I get no duplicates.

I think that has to do with screen real estate, not mods. My default is 1280x768. So I think the scrollbar issue is a non-issue. The only time the scrollbar should come into play on the 1st civ is if you have more civ's than can be displayed.

Things to do;
1. go to;
..\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache
Delete all files and folders in there (This just cleans everything out, it'll repopulate next time you start civ5)

2. Go into your MODS folder and manually delete all versions of Prussia

3. Go into ModBuddy, open Prussia, clean solution (Not really needed, but a good habit to get into), rebuild solution.

You can then go into civ5--Mods and turn on Prussia and Corsica and they'll work. Or should anyways.

The problem with duplicate civilization lists is OTHER, older mods... I have Hakkuk's extra civs and even with only that I get the duplicate list... It's the Civilopedia vs CivilopediaTag tag issue (I'm pretty sure on that one)...

Otherwise I just played a quick 1 on 1 with Prussia and Corsica enabled and played about 50 turns without issue.. looks good.

As a follow-up... I went into Hukkak's Civ Pak and removed the <Civilopedia> line from all the civ's...

Guess what? No more duplicate entries.

If you still get duplicate entries on load, check what mods you're loading... and then go check the civ xml files being loaded for that tag and remove it... Then repeat #1 from my post above.

Should be good to go then.

Thanks a bunch for taking the time to look Mynex!

I don't know why everyone harshes on the dashes. My mod worked fine with them but I deleted them anyway just in case something is wrong I'm not noticing and just to keep the presentation uniform. I even made sure I deleted them by cutting the entries out, pasting it in a line above the dashes and then deleting the empty line with the dash.

My problem isn't with the main menu civ select, it's with the MOD menu civ select. I have to use the Advanced game setup because the quick select is where the scroll bar is dissappearing from. When I disable (don't even need to delete it) my mod, the scroll bar appears. With mine activated, it's gone. I could run Jay's Corsica mod by itself without this issue.

I fixed my duplication issue. It was that I named my art the same as Jay did. All duplication and "bleeding" problems disappeared after I re-named and re-activated the files.

I don't think It's a real estate problem. My monitor is set to the max resolution (1900/whatever it is). It's not really that big of an issue I guess since I can use the Advanced set up just fine and my mod works awesome in-game, but it is annoying that I can't select past England in the quick setup section. I've only added the one civ and I've had other mods working that didn't take away my scroll bar.

I will follow your suggestions. You never know, I may have fixed the issue but the game doesn't know because of one stoopid byte in the cache folder :mischief: My mod works great now but I'm always down for improvements :goodjob:

My mod never had the <Civilopedia> tag. I took it out the second that glitch was posted.

Thanks again for taking the time to help me out dood! I am very thankful! :king:

lol... we 'harsh' on the dashes because it's bad form... and who knows what kind of weirdness firaxis did... they probably don't cause any issues, but...

As for the rest, 'Ah!'.. I never use the 'quick setup', I always go advanced... but I'll take a look at it again in the quick menu.. meh, never paid attention to the quick menu anyways, who does? :p

Yea, it was looking good when I was cruising through a play... Good job with it... If you're up for some it, some collaboration, I have a list of civ's I'd like to get done. ;)

Yeah, that's what I figured. It does look better in Modbuddy without them :D

I'm not sure why I use it myself. Especially since I now have a civ that I want to make sure I play against.... It's just one of those things. I found an anomoly and couldn't let it go.

If you can handle the screaming, whining and crying :mischief: sure :D

That's called OCD my friend. ;) I know it well... and curse it... and use it. lol

No crying, whining or screaming allowed!

But you can wail, pull your hair, and gnash your teeth! :p

I've got some lists already... with some city names and civ intro's... Stole em from Civ 3/4 modding and the wikipedia...need to clean them up before I get em off to ya... give me a day or three... Still have to come up with some names for someone else first, I promised. :)
