about computers. Background - I've been playing Civ IV for the last couple of years after installing it on my windows xp cpu i purchased in 2002.
I was able to make the game work after turning off movies and doing some other things.
Last night, being an idiot with no knowledge, I tried to reinstall windows from scratch and managed to do so, but now a lot is messed up, including CIV IV.
When I try to start a new game, my cpu restarts and when it does I get this message: "The driver for the display device was unable to create a drawing operation. Please check with the device manufacturer for a driver update. The display driver for 64MB DDR NVIDIA Ge Force MX 420 with TV out seems to be responsible."
Might as well be Latin to me. By the way, all my graphics - in the CIV intro and just looking at regular things on the computer is much worse.
