Will Fall from Heaven be available for Civ 5?:D Please say it's going to be included with the retail game.

I would kind of doubt it. Especially since the SDK or modding tools have not been released yet.

Sorry, I have no answers for you. Feel free to speculate wildly.

:p

Seriously though I doubt it - of course the fact the Kael himself doesn't categorically deny the possibility allowed the thread I culled this from to go on for quite a while :mischief:

I'm not really too concerned about the lack of scenarios in the vanilla game. Firaxis has made a point of mentioning how they are going to support modding in-game, and I have complete faith in the modders here as well. We'll be neck deep in scenarios before we know it.

No scenarios, eh? That's not too disappointing considering we will have a brand new Civ to play. I'm just really into FFH2 now and regular Civ I don't even play anymore. I hope they spice up the game with faction-specific strategies like in FFH2, like the vampire faction capturing other units and turning them into vampires (my last game I captured the red dragon and turned him into a vampire :) ) and the angel/demon faction showing up later in the game, etc.

FFH2 is fine and I enjoy it myself, but, the vanilla game of civ is NOT an rpg or fantasy game and it shouldn't try to be one. Some uniqueness between civs in terms of traits is fine, but I don't like the idea of that much uniqueness in the base game. FFH2-style factions would be a bit overboard.

Wasn't it already stated that there would be NO scenarios whatsoever with vanilla Civ5?

I think this is just pure speculation.

The inclusion of the in game mod browser and download tool would mean that you wouldn't need to ship the game with mods in order for people to be able to play them shortly after release.

This may mean they can release the game earlier then distribute vanilla mods afterwards via the browser - this sounds like it would be best for everyone.

IIRC it was in one of the developer interviews.

Fine. :(

Well, I remember speculating on it, and when I did it, I did it with no evidence what so ever.

So there!

(do you have a source on that btw?)
