Also let me add that in the end things worked out for the best. After getting rid of her Masood married his fourth wife and he is most pleased with her. She is I am told very good at cleaning the house.

That is true for the Abrahamic religions, but not true in general.

In Canaanite Paganism there was a religious obligation for every girl/woman to serve as a prostitute in the temple of one of their goddesses at least once.
