I miss slavery...

    I'm a bit puzzled why the game doesn't allow you to sacrifice population to rush a building or unit like in Civ IV. Slavery has been significant in the development of nearly all major civilizations. Why not include it in the game? If you can hurry production with gold, why not with population? Maybe it should obsolete at a certain point later in the game, but still I think the option should be there. Thoughts?

    1. you can rush with Gold
    2. Population is power in this game (like Land is power in Civ 1-4)

    [just imagine your gold rushing is paying for the slaves to finish it now]
