I must be the first to Theology... big disadvantage??

In alot of my (Noble) games, I usually go the Christian route. Simply put, instead of going the rush game, I find it is an excellent middle game religion to use and saves research for other more early important things.

Only really go down the Christian path if I am not playing a Spiritual Civ. Otherwise, more than definately, you are going to have to go towards Buddhism/Hinduism/Judaism.

Anyway, there are better (ALOT) better players than myself but this is just from what I have found.

You can maybe overcome it in Civ IV, but in real life, that kind of thinking will be more of a handicap.

erm am I the only one who sees that getting theology first then building the apolistic palace asap.. gives all your religious builinds a huge advantage (+2 hammers) the reason why you would beeling theology?

I'll take theology sometimes as my free tech after getting the oracle sometimes, but generally besides the AP, I don't see why you would want it so bad.
