Hey, could some one make a REALLY COMPLETE straregy for me? I have a list of things I want...could some really good, smart player do this for me?
Ok, what I what in the strategy:
A list of techs. Takes me through the whole [of techs] list, step by step, what I should discover and when. I want every tech laid out for me.
A list of the wonders I should build. Went, where, and how.
A list of the improvements I should build.
A paragraph or two telling me what should be in my army for each era. and
A Battle Plan, when, where, and how.
Hi xeven, I am Alec.
1. I recommend you begin with Alphabet, and try to reach stealth before the end of the game. Your goal is to reach Future Tech 255 as soon as possible so you can raise your taxes.
2. The most desirable wonders are usually the Pyramids, Hanging Gradens, Colossus, The Great Wall, Oracle, Marco Polo, and the Lighthouse. In the next age, you should obtain at least SunTzu's Academy, Michelangelo's Chapel, JS Bach, Shakespeare, Magellan, and the excellent King Richard's Crusade. If you have done this before 1 AD you are doing well. This is where you can take a quick breather. Next, you should try and get at least Statue of Liberty, Adam Smith, Darwin's Voyage, Isac Newton's College, Leonardo's Workshop. In the modern are, be sure to get Women's Sufferage, United Nations, Cure For Cancer, Hoover Dam, Manhattan Project, Apollo, and SETI. If you do this, you will have maximum flexibility to pursue almost any contingency that arises. Any of the may other Wonder (Eiffel Tower) can be constructed if you have the time and extra shields.
3. Try to build a marketplace, bank, and stock exchange... plus a library, university, and research lab. Round that out with a granery, harbor, aquaduct, sewer system, and supermarket. Add city walls, coastal frotress, SAAM, SDI and you have your basic defense. A barracks, port facility, and airport will let you build veterans and fix stuff in one turn, wowie. You'll get a buncha chields if you build a factory, offshore platform, power plant, hydro plant, nuclear plant, manufacturing plant, and solar plant (what you don't need can be sold). A mass transit and recycling plant will help control all those shields. To keep happiness, build a temple, colosseum, cathedral, superhighways, police station, and courthouse. This is my short list of favorite improvements and if you build them all quickly, your city will be very powerful indeed.
4. Build all the most powerful units and attack everyone.
5. The best people to attack are your enemies. You can see of a city is an enemy city by running your attacker into it. If you hear a lot of noise, and see a little dust cloud, congratualtions... you done found one of dem dare enemieees. Keep doing that until you hear a trampling/marching sound, the start the whole process again in a different spot. Sooner or later, you will win the game!
Good luck,
Alec
PS, If you find my brilliant advice above, you may call it "Smart, Alec!" (hehe
