I don't want to hear it - I've Googled as much as I creatively can to no decisive/certain result, I've got a dictionary in my HAND, I've used language tools to see if it was a foreign word (French maybe... but no luck), I've searched for the word (as I think it may be spelled) in Wiki - it's not in the website there at all, plus I can't get any help from the Thesaurus (which I am somewhat handy with using, to find words).
"Automatant"... someone that just sits and functions mindlessly, performing the action they were trained to do, without thinking. Not sure about the spelling. I hear it used, and it's not hard to understand what it should mean, and you'd THINK you could find it on the web (no more than a mere 30 results in Google) to verify it's spelling, but, I'm at a loss. Maybe it isn't a real word, maybe it's foreign, or maybe my spelling assumption is too far off. Any help would be appreciated. I just want to know how to correctly spell it.
