Hi, I desperatly need help in Civ games, in most Civ Games i can win in Settler or Chieftain. But after that I start lacking. :(

What would really be helpful is a scenario that teaches beginners like me, how to play in the harder levels. This would not only help us beginners to learn how to play proberly, but also give us confidence in beating the computer. ;)

The reason I say this is because, in games where you have different levels of difficulty, You haven't really completed the game until you can beat it on every level of difficulty, therefore giving it 100% completion. :)

Many Thanks

Right off the bat I would caution you about wanting to "complete" a game like Civ. Unlike other games which feature a definite end goal (solving a series of puzzles or defeating a "boss"), Civ is about replay. Every time you play it, it's different, and if that's not enough, there are mods that add even more variation. I've played different versions of Civ for years and have never come close to beating the game on its highest level. But I keep playing it, over and over and over and over... :crazyeye:

As for your request, well, try the links in my sig, if you don't mind me blowing my own horn. The Beginner's Guide in particular will probably help you a lot, while the ALC games might present you with something resembling the "scenarios" you're asking about.

Beyond that, check this forum's Strategy Articles sub-forum. I'd especially recommend Sullla's Civ IV Walkthrough. Then read articles that deal with particular areas of interest to you, especially elements of gameplay that you're trying to improve.

And don't overlook the new War Academy, which collects and categorizes the best articles from the site.
