And everyone cries no

But its ok in your book to sneak attack me mid-game?

THats fun to you but if i rush you early you cry foul

Why not just choose duplicate leaders n fight fire with fire if their so OP?

It sounds like you want to play red death. Not to be insulting but Gilgamesh, Tomyris, Amanitore, Poundmaker and Montezuma are all for new players. Harold on sea maps.

Just pick Tamar. They might not be expecting an early rush from Georgia and you can catch them without units.

Georgian UU is not bad for early rush, 52 strength on hills, not bad actually. But you really need some pre-planning since I guess the only way to get some these units in time is to use Magnus chop.

I always hear they are for noob players, but yet they scare you so bAd you ban them?
N YES you can defend against them....I have n ive seen other skilfull players defend

Some of these players ban Aztec and Sumeria, think they're good at mid-game so banning these early UUs will ensure them victory.

However when I meet them I just take Gandhi. Gandhi's name sounds very peaceful, however Varus don't require horses so they're ready really quickly.

When my Varus get into their territories (and maybe preforming some 88 damage city attacks) they surrounder.

BTW Varu kills archers in one hit.

I've defended a warcart rush twice, they had already taken someone out and I had swords by that point.

If players choose the difficulty they are comfortable with that would make multiplayer enjoyable for all skill levels but that is asking for a lot of honesty.

YEA either is far from invincible....those that get taken outr just don't know how to defend

you pick gilg or tom u wont beat me...I know their weakness

By mid game you have walls, encampments, and forts. All help you a lot in defense. So obviously it's much easier to defend mid game vs early game when you have none of those.
In the early game though everyone is further apart and roads are poor or nonexistent. As long as you know they're coming you should be able to defend.

I have found an early gilga easier to defend against than an early Tomyris... they just keep healing!
At least with Tomyris there will be more technology available like spears and archers. Haven't had much success against her though.

I have with Sparta but is was scary and lost a few troops. The key is to pillage her horses but when she is coming at you it is not so easy.
I used a lot of hoplites in rough terrain, its her damn horse archers in combination with horsemen that make her so bad now, she just comes straight through you then turns around, and so many of the damn things.
The plus side was I was drowning in culture.

That doesn't even matter. A war cart has more strength than a fortified warrior on a hill. If the warriors make a move or a counter-attack then they lose their defense bonuses.

Yes and warcarts can promote to charge so it's even worse. It can be a dire situation and easy to panic, hopefully one could last until getting support bonuses and something with stronger base strength like heavy chariots and spears.
