I'm wondering when will the old VB return. I don't mean looking like vb2 but actually being vb2. I as I stated before and was ignored basically see vb3 as terrible. I can't use CSS. Now I don't expect VB2 to come back but it looked better and most importanty worked better. It was even faster. A little CSS goes a long way to [WARNING appearent flame though I don't in any way egree with this my story seems to be similer]forcing blacks out of stores, err, forcing me out of here.[/flame] I just hope I will get a nice reason for not doing it rather than a "It's too much trouble."
P.S. Of course this will be closed as a flame/pointless thread but it does have a point. I can't see the forums well. I tried putting it in the official thread but it was ignored. So I put it here to be less ignored. At least if I put it in the wrong forum zulu9812 will come by with a nice skull saying that. "Hows" come whenever I say I am in that 0.000001%, i.e. 1 person, who can't see it I will be tossed aside because it is too much work. I really wish the "viewable in any broswer," which include old "buggy" browsers, was in effect. Opera barely works but my old one, which is still 2000's works better, except for CSS. I still don't know why it's so hard to add a few conditionals to allow non-CSS to work. I know HTML and CSS and could even do it myself but I don't know PHP and VB3 even though I could figure them out fast. I could even take the HTML of one of the pages, edit it so it uses CSS when possible and doesn't when not possible. Then changing the PHP source to use the new format would be easy.
P.P.S. [getting ahead of myself since denial is likely] Oh well. I tried. I hoped that I would see something I could see but alas I won't. I guess I'll have to spend zillions of dollars for a new computer and OS and browser, well the browser is free, just to be able to see it. Hey it would probably be easier to spend a few thousand dollars or however much to nicely pay TF or other admins for their time to edit the source to see it.
Well if it's not done, probable, or I am ignored I'll probably come here less often. Just to post my civ4 suggestion and hope they, though also unlikely, could be used.
P.P.P.S Just to leave on a lighter and friendlier note, I will say good job to the people who started it. I do appreciate the forum even if this thread seems otherwise. Good job.
