I want to make a Civ indie game!

Hey, I'm interested, you compose/make some kind of music?

I'm pretty confident in making any genre.

Here is a sample two composition.

First one is fantasy/medieval tune made in 8bit as a indie developer you should love it.

Second one is more native/tribal you could use it for african or native amercian civilization.

I'll send you more infro on PM. Because I think forum is not a place to discuss it.

I was playing Reus the other day and it got me thinking. Civ style games are already pretty well done (civ series, EU series, crusader kings, tons of space 4x games, and that's not even counting indie ones) and so huge in scope. Meanwhile you have this gem of a game Reus that appeals to fans of 4x builder games but is really tightly contained. It's well designed and has innovative game play, with the obvious influence of civ style builder games there, but it's also not super complicated and you can see how it wouldn't be too daunting to program. Maybe something like that would be a better first try at an indie game? Find a simple concept that can be done in an interesting way like Reus and the symbosis of tiles, then make the game really catchy. It's just a thought.

Anhelia, I did look at it, will keep in mind if i ever need, though it might be a long while before i need soundtrack for a game

Do you mean this Reus game?
I never heard of it before, but the description is certainly interesting. I'll definitely be looking out for it in the future.

It's quite strange to compare games in the Civ series with the Paradox EU and CK games.
Just last week I got Ck2 while it was on sale in steam and I simply can't stop playing it.
Crusader Kings II makes Civilization V look like a board game, and this is fairly obvious since Paradox games doesn't focus on winning.

Its kinda of sad, because it made me rethink a whole of my game concepts.
But i've guess it will turn good in the end and the concept and ideas renewed.
I do think its a good idea to refine it and make it simpler, after all its only the first one.

Yes that's the game. It's much simpler than civ, but still really fun and a good strategy game.
