I want to move my Civilization IV game to my D: Drive...

Because I need to format soon, and I lost all the discs but the play disc, and I don't want to rebuy again. Is this possible by just moving everything to the D:\ drive from C:?

I'm no computer expert.

I doubt this will work - a normal installation writes entries to the Windows registry, sets up the required version DirectX on your system and probably other things too. Even if you save the game and user folders this essential 'working' information will be lost when you reformat your drive and a proper re-install will almost certainly be needed to restore the missing files & information. Sorry!

Well it can't hurt to try, and see if the computer is smart enough to rehook everything. No harm done in moving it and trying to launch. If it fails, move it back, uninstall, and reinstall at desired directory.
