yep thats right about six minutes ago.
It hurt, it was like a burning sensation followed by Incredible pain.

I have a pet scorpion (six actually) and I was moving them to change the substrate and clean the cage, when one of them ran up my arm into my shirtsleave and stung me just bellow the armpit.
I maneged to get him out and back in the cage.

but now its awsome I feel slightly dizzy, my mouth is dry and my lips are tingling.

It was just an emporer scorpion. and unless Im allergic to the venom, Im ok.
but anyway I feel slightly buzzed. lol
this is the first time I got stung by one of my scorpions though.

I just figured someone might be interested in what it feels like to be stung by a scorpion.
I think I am one of the rare people who can say , I live in Oregon and I was stung by a scorpion from africa.
anyone else ever been stung by a scorpion? Its really quite an experience.

i once got stung by a bee and missed the first day of first grade! :D

But anyway, how did you get a scopion from africa

Really quite an experience???
I doubt that I would want to be stung by a scorpion. You make it sound like we should all try it. Why, does it feel like some kind of high or something?

Getting high and jumping of a building probably gives you that expirience

I have been bit by a spider. It was sharp, like viscious a pinch using finger nails.

Please describe your scorpion sting some more. I would like to know, especially the actual moment of attack. How much of a shock was it?

Afaik, I have never been stung by any stinging-insect.

All the wild life I get are Mosquitoes, Spiders, and Gnats :p

you know when nurses give you a shot of pain reliaver and there is that deep pain at first, it was kind of like that but closer to the surface of the skin.
or if somone had pinched you hard and pushed your skin in a bit.
those are the best two ways I can explain it.
but you start to feel light headed and your arms get somewhat heavy, and then your adrenilen kicks in, and you get more pumped and the sting stops hurting as much after about a minute and you just feel a numbness there.

right now I have lost some of that numbess there and it feels like a small needle is constatly stuck there. my lips are kind of tingally right now and I am slightly lightheaded.
I have a glass of water next to me for the dry mouth.

Thanks for that detail explaination. :vomit: Im glad theres not a petco around here! :smug: I still think you should sue them :p That reminds me of the time a firework thing exploded on my feet... :) good times. I couldn't hear for a day or so, but i didn't hurt. Sory if that was [offtopic]

EDIT:  i love smilies!

Iused to drive a Scorpian, and it cost me a fortune in repairs over the years, so yeah- I'd say I've been repeatedly stung by a Scorpian.

Man domesticated Dog to help him hunt and to use their keen senses to warn of danger. He brought Cat into his home to shut Woman up about the mice. He brought Songbird to hear its pretty call.

Can someone explain why Vermin and Reptiles were added to that list? Pets are supposed to be companions valued for their usefulness, beauty, companionship, or some combination of the three. Why are creatures that exhibit none of these traits invited into people's homes?
