Does Civ5 make a use of all 4 cores of i7? The answer is not obvious because I noticed that some games do not do that (i.e. as far as I know Starcraft uses only 2 procs efficiently).
Afaik mobile i5 processors (notebooks) are still sold in 2-core configuration. I'm going to buy a new computer and i'm wondering if all four of i7 processors would work with Civ5.
Now you say notebook. It is still very important to have a "discrete" video chip and not an integrated one. I really do not think the difference between the i5 and i7 will be noticeable as much as the video options. To answer your question though, it is supposed to take advantage of multi-cores, but I am not sure any one knows if it does or not. Some will say it does and some will say it does not.
