The computer player does still not have to improve the land around the city to make it grow (it can have a city with 9 without doing anything with the surroundings) (it was also a bug in civilization 1 and 2).
The computer can produce faster than U, and does not tune the production in the city
The computer starts with 2 archer and produce archer without the needed research to produce archer … on level monarch
The computer player does still cheat then it research – it can with 1 city with 1, research faster than U can with 15 cities with around 8 in each (Even if u use 100% to research)
The computer can trade technologies without having researched the alphabet

This all is well known by everybody, how higher the difficulty level, how more
the AI cheats on you without saying that explicitly. It has all to do with level.
