Icewind Dale I & II

I thought Civ 4 to let go for awhile and catched Icewind Dale I & II and expansion disc for 10€ from market.

Does it matter what armor character wears? It just gives higer armor class but doesn't reduce attack or anything?

The higher the AC, the more chance you have of a enemy missing you, damaging less etc etc.

Higher AC = win.


BUT, both of those games suck... get Baldurs Gate. They were created using its engine, without the storyline to go with though

Nah, I had Baldurs Gate and I didn't like it. I remember that you didn't create party at Baldur's Gate but gathered PCs from game. Am I correct?
I like more when you create whole party at beginning of the game and stick with it 'till the end.

So higher AC in case heavier armor doesn't affect my attacks?

Another question, what is THACO?

You might want to try a D&D wiki for this stuff, I can't remember what THACO is, but I think it was good to have.

Baldur's Gate II is really good, and while you don't create your party you do get to equip and upgrade them as you like.

Was it - to hit armor class 0? The higher you have, the better chance you have hitting your enemies, I think...

Both are pretty good games, with the second one being the clearly better of the two.

Another question, what is THACO?

You COULD make entire party using the multiplayer feature but large part of the BG apeal (especially BG2) came from companions. It was reason enough to play game again to see what other NPC's would talk about. Only problem was that I just could never leave out Imoen, Jaheira, Nalia or Aerie
