I live for Conquests.
I was playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance one day, while waiting for a long, long, turn to finish up. Then, and idea hit me. Why not have experience for units? There would be a little bar, indicating the experience. Every time the unit wins a battle, it gains (insert number) of experience.
Now, for my second part of my post. Some people may say "Man. That's imitating "Pokemon" or some other game such as that." I know that, but "Pokemon" has fluctuating values of EXP depending on some factors or whatever (can't remember). But, in the "unit gain EXP" idea, the numbers are set. 2 EXP per battle in Ancient/Middle Ages, and 1 EXP per battle in /IndustrialModern.
Now for the conclusion: The EXP gained will level up you unit to a certain thing (sorry. don't remember what its called). Thing = Conscript ~ Regular ~ Veteran ~ Elite ~ General (new idea).
I'd like something, so feel free to tweak/or criticize.
