Idea: Military Contracts

I haven't the foggiest whether anyone has suggested this before but I know it would be easy to implement.

Create a wonder like broadway or rock n roll which gives you contracts for a unit like tank just as an example.

You can only build the unit with the contract and so they would be worth a lot to trade to others.

Smple and effective.

Perhaps you mean Complex and uneffective.

First, assuming that wasn't sarcasm, and...
...Assuming that UB mentioned broadway/rock&roll in the context of a wonder which produces resources, with contracts as the resources, I'll provide an example. You create a Wonder called "Israeli Military Industries" which produces one or more resources called "Merkava Contract". Then you have a unit (A Merkava Tank, in this example) which requires the resource to be built. The "contracts" can be traded via diplomacy to allow others to build the units, in the same manner as trading away iron/copper/whatever.

If this idea isn't already modded somewhere, I would be a little surprised. I know there's something like this in Sevo's mod, though (Wonder-Based units, at least).
 
Sevo had wonder based units but no ability to trade that away (other then gifting units ofcorse), a very interesting idea.

Thanks for explaining better. Reading back what I put it wasn't very clear at all.
