Alot of people say it was the Germans that started it, but I don't believe em. I think the fact is that nobody really started it, and that it all just happened at once. Not that it matters, though.

Here we are now. Half of the world is engulfed in a perpetual war, and the other half is a fallout-ridden wasteland; even with this, though, the war's still on. The bombs are still flying across the Atlantic, and what few cities are left are decimated further every day.

We're slowly regressing, too. When the government got wiped out, we lost most of the Army's advanced tech- all we got going for us are some devoted men and woman, striving to hold onto what little knowledge we have left. Even so, we're back to muskets now, and that's a big step considering where we were.

So this is war. I'm hoping will win- but that wouldn't really matter either. We could become masters of the whole of Europe and I wouldn't give a damn.

Because even if we did it wouldn't make up for what we've lost.

First, let me apologize if this is the wrong forum to post on. Second, let me also apologize for the story, I just wanted to illustrate my idea.

Now, let me summarize:

1. A more dynamic Fallout. Much like in real life radiation would be able to spread far beyond the initial atomized site.

2. Technological regression. I propose that fallout cause massive amounts of negative science, slowing down technological progress and, eventually, regression as the world becomes more and more destroyed.

3. Realistic ranges on nukes. In real life nukes (not a-bombs, mind) can hit just about anywhere in the world.

4. Anti-Nuclear defenses. I propose that a new anti-nuke unit be designed that can destroy nukes that hit within 3 tiles of it. The unit would, however, be VERY expensive to build or buy and would only have 1 use.

5. Chaos. If a nuclear war occurred in real life, civil wars and chaos would reign even as the mushroom clouds were in the sky. Thus, a city hit by a nuke (or heavily affected by fallout) should be unable to build or do anything.

Has potential. Needs development though. It needs to be fleshed out more.
