some mods have the same general 2nd UU so exclude those

Aztec:
eagle warrior replaces spearmen

germany:
ss infantry replaces infantry

Engand:
english frigate or ship of the line replaces either ship of theline or frigate

what are some other suggestions?..
i thought of more but i cant recall what they were:(

M4 Sherman (Tank)

Arabs

Saracen (Pikeman)

England

Welsh Longbow (Longbowman)
Dreadnaught (Battleship)

Germany

U-Boat (Submarines)
Teutonic Knight (Knight)

the general 2UU already has t34,indian war elephant, english longbow, minutemen, tetonic knight, zero fighter

what about germanic tribes axeman or swordsman? samurai knight, longbow, indian archers that were usesd as infantry...persians could get ottoman's janissary

what would spain's UU be besides treasure galleon and conquistador?

I don't know about the second UU in the mods, so some of these migth not be new:

Germany:
Landsknecht (pikeman)

Persia:
Cataphract (horse archer)

France:
Dragoon (Cavalry ? There should be another mounted unit between knight and cavalry...)

Rome:
Sarmatian Mercenary (horse archer) ? But their UU is overpowered anyway, so they don't need another one in the classical age...

in the mod dragoon replace cavalry and roman pratorian is toned downed a bit...no more power axeman neither

there is all ready a general catapract unit...
Sarmatian mercenary sounds really good and i agree there should be musket era knight person that would be consdiidered dragoons

oh i am trying to organize a list of a 3rd UU for realism mod, hopefully, they will include them...

keep suggestions coming

I know the cataphract unit in the sevo mod, but it really doesn't fit.
They are weaker than horse archers and have a higher chance to retreat.
Heavy cavalry ???
They should rather be a counter for melee.

oh in the realism mod cataphracts are meant to balanced in the game as they get bonus against melee, horse archers get bonus to mounted etc.. it is balanced in the game

where would heavy cavalry fit in.. i consider catapracts heavy cavalry, where would it fit in between knights or something...

oh maybe swiss mercenary for french?

Hmm... they're never going to allow completely new units, are they? Because if so, I thought 'Freedom Fighter' would be fitting for India.

I think cataphracts should be made available with horseback riding and iron working. Or IW and HR should enable research on a new tech called "Armoured Cavalry" or something which would later enable knights with Feudalism ( I never understood what guilds have to do with knights).

I think perhaps with Guilds, it marks a period in time when say London burghers started banding together. They could afford standing armies or to afford to pay for their own champions. That's just what made sense to me.

guilds from this website sounds alot like a civic
http://www.public.iastate.edu/~gbetcher/373/guilds.htm

in the mod already, cataphracts are available with ironworking and horseback riding

my fault i posted wrong before...would you consider cataphracts different then actual heavy cavalry...as in should some mounted unit should be between cataphracts, available during ironworking/horseback, and knights

would knights be considered heavy cavalry?

I'd like to see the Romans have a catapult with increased bombardmant and/or collateral damage ratios.

My suggestions:

France:

French Foreign Legion (replace Marine), better defense on jungle or desert tiles

Germany

Dicke Berta (replaces Artillery), free promotion 'accuracy'

Russia

Mig (replaces Jet Fighter)

Strelet Guard (replaces Musketman), +20% city attack

England

Man O War (replaces Frigatte), +25% vs. Frigatte

America

U.S. Cavalry (replaces Cavalry), free promotion 'march'

Arabia

Dow (replaces Caravel), +1 movement

Egypt

Mameluck (replaces Knight), +10% city strength

Persia: Athanatoi. Replaced Archer.
France: Cuirassier. Replaced knight.
Inca: Chasqui.(?) Replaced scout.
Germany: Raider (eg gothic raiders of Rome). Replaced axeman
Greeks: Companion. Rep. Chariot (chariots are not often in use in Ancient Greece in real history anyway) (EDIT: or Trireme, considering that Ancient Greece was a great maritime power)
Aztecs: Atl Atl Rep. Spearsman

That doesn't really work because the idea of Germany having no 'normal' infrantry doesn't really make sense.

normal??...im lost

the UU is suppose to be something the civ military were recognized by...german military in world war II, SS infantry were top soldiers and were infantry...so figured that they could be a UU and would replace infantry

great suggestions keep them coming:goodjob:

what about spain's and mali's UU? what should they be

oh yeah, and china UU?

i would like to see britan have an MI6 agent (spy) it would have +25% chance of succses and if it failed it would be impossible to find out who sent it. for the ai atleast.
