LOL, some of this may be redundant. I'm actually not being scatterbrained about it.
Remember that I'm trying to organize a few sets of ideas from different places already.
This is my main organization thread,
C2C-Idea Inspiration and Organization
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=464235
The rest of the new threads are to encourage themed discussion or collection of specific information.
People keep posting new threads about the future. I thought I'd stop that.
Many eras don't have ongoing discussions, I thought I'd create a history thread to organize and encourage that.
We needed a central posted news, and link organization place.
The controversy thread is to separate certain conversation that keep coming up from derailing C2C's progress.
All of these threads will pour into my main one.
It is a question of grouping content together.
I strongly think we needed a news thread, a general future discussion thread, a history thread, and a controversial discussion thread. The general history thread is the only one I just floated, hoping for people to want to flesh it out and the others have content to be fleshed out.
Prehistory, and the future (post-history) need a thread for general discussion; I see the discussion bouncing back and forth and some of the ideas left forgotten.
In some way this encourages new players to not be intimidated by ongoing discussion so they will feel more free to talk, they also accomplish some ongoing goals, that they couldn't do together.
So I feel pretty justified in creating them, don't worry I don't intend thread spam. Some of my threads will eventually be unnecessary. Some of them were to jumpstart conversation.
I plan on going through all the future discussions and reposting the only stuff in that thread. They really are spread out. This is all part of my idea organization effort.
Trust me, I am pretty certain that once I flesh them out it will make more sense
General ideas can still go in the ideatracker and/or the ideas/discussion thread, I'm intending that they be combined once the Ideas Inspiration and Organization thread sorts them out. I suspect the loose threads will just fade to the back like they usually do. I want to keep all those ideas alive and in one place. If someone has an idea in one of the general discussion threads, it will be organized and included. Hopefully the discussion threads are more of a place to create and group new ideas, instead of being another place to just list them. Even if it did, the ideas would be a better place for appropriate conversation, that would follow to the implementation threads.
