idefense and ibombarddefense

It's simply another unit property, "bIgnoreBuildingDefense". The game text may refer to this as "gunpowder units", but there is nothing stopping you from having e.g. a melee unit ignore building defense, or having a gun unit be affected by building defense.
 
Ah, then I will have to adjust in the unitsinfo.xml, I'm up to over 2000 units now but should be done in a day or two :)

No real reason to have foot-based units ignore building defense even if they gunpowder-based, well maybe late modern
era ones.

I did actually attempt to use the Ctrl H extensively once, it cause my mod to crash to desktop with no reasonable explanation :) I'm old school
so only notepad when editing the xml-files, time consuming perhaps but I like the simplicty and having control.
