Playing a Regent game as Persia, I've just been stabbed in the back by Hammurabi yet again. Unfortunately for him I knew it was coming, and I'm looking forward to an entertaining session of Stomp The Babs. However, my righteous crusade was briefly detoured when half a dozen cities went into unrest as soon as Hammy declared war. (I'm in republic, by the way.) These are all cities which I had captured from him centuries ago during an earlier unpleasantness. When I investigated the unhappy people in each city, they told me that 62% of their unhappiness was due to crowding, and 38% was because they couldn't forget the cruel oppression I had borne down on their motherland. (It's gonna be a lot crueler this time: I have modern armor.) Thing is, these people are all Persians!! I starved out the original inhabitants long ago. Is this some kind of Jungian race memory? Have other folks experienced this phenomenon? I expect this sort of thing in cities I've captured recently with multi-ethnic populations, but these whiners are all red white and blue Persians. Am I justified in being surprised, or is this actually commonplace?
Thanks.
Thanks.
