Those nations were already at war against Japan, so I don't think they would have cared if Japan got nuked. I've hardly ever used nukes in Civ3, so I forget what the exact rule is when you nuke somebody and nations at war with the nation you nuked do a reaction check.

If Civ3 was like the real world, the Foreigh Advisor would be saying:

"Our people are disdainful of the French cultural achievements."
"The French are disdainful of our cultural achievements."

Civ3 and reality clearly don't work the same way here.

... and the Americans (or maybe the Iroquois?) and the Chinese would clash over its resources. Cultural or all-out military confrontation would ensue.

I thought they built the Forbidden Palace in LA (on one of them movie sets), and since we're still in "Play the World" mode (as opposed to world "Conquest"), the FP makes California ultra productive .
