IF THE WORLD WORKED LIKE CIV III...

DOMANDEST COMMANDS YOU ADD TO THIS LIST

-Montezuma would have traded techs with Spain at first contact, and would have begun rushing musketmen immediately to fight them back... that is, if he could find saltpepper.

-Hong Kong would have culturally flipped to China decades ago

-Hitler wouldn't have had to support the eastern front; he would have easily taken Moscow and razed Leningrad

-Anglo-Saxon barbarians would have merely stolen gold from Roman Britain and destroyed its cities improvements instead of settling it

-There will be no such thing as Civil war.

-All of America would have culturally flipped to France, or Canada.

-All real countries are formed in 4000 BC

-No country takes any prisioners from surrendering troops, only from captured workers

-Everyone would have trade embargoes against the US for sneak attacking Iraq.

-In fact, America wouldn't exist, it would still be a colony of England at war with the Iroquois

France and Canada have no culture. Their culture is to not like American culture.
Hong Kong did flip back to China.
No one would trade embargo the US as they fear the KAI.

Those nations were already at war against Japan, so I don't think they would have cared if Japan got nuked. I've hardly ever used nukes in Civ3, so I forget what the exact rule is when you nuke somebody and nations at war with the nation you nuked do a reaction check.

- Ghana would have been acknowledged as the rulers of the world when Kofi Annan was elected Secretary-General of the UN.

- Rome would probably have won a cultural victory at some point. If not them, the Chinese.

And as for this...

Not to turn this thread political, but I'm sure many people in France don't give a damn about American culture, so long as Dubya stays in his own backyard.

-the roman empire probally wouldnt have fallen to barbarians

-There would be only a few nations in the Americas and Africa. Most if it would lie vacant.

If Civ3 was like the real world, the Foreigh Advisor would be saying:

"Our people are disdainful of the French cultural achievements."
"The French are disdainful of our cultural achievements."

Civ3 and reality clearly don't work the same way here. :)

spearmen could beat tanks
if one city was starving you could not transport food to it from other cities
thi white house would not be white
d-day would never succede
east russia would not exist (siberia has little culture [not being politcal])
edit
britain would not have a very big navy
there would be 34 nations

I would be a world leader

-China would be a Democracy, and so would every other country in the world

east russia would not exist (siberia has little culture [not being politcal])
... and the Americans (or maybe the Iroquois?) and the Chinese would clash over its resources. Cultural or all-out military confrontation would ensue.

-There would be no more independent Germany after WWII and those German citizens that still existed would slowly assimilate

-The Eastern provinces of Rome (syria, parlestine, byzantium) would never have produced the great works of arts and science that they did... corruption would have been too high.

-For the same reason, California would be totally unproductive today; Alaska and hawaii would be outright useless. We might as well sell Guam to the highest bidder.

-General Tojo (great leader) would waltz into Tokyo during WWII, rush the Manhattan Project and beat the US to the bomb
.

I thought they built the Forbidden Palace in LA (on one of them movie sets), and since we're still in "Play the World" mode (as opposed to world "Conquest"), the FP makes California ultra productive :D .

- There wouldn't be annual Finland vs. Sweden hockey game
