If all you people aren't buying Civ V because of steam then why are you still on the Civ V forums? wouldn't it show a much stronger message if discussion just shut down after they released the steam news?

They should still have a place to vent their frustrations. Ideally they'll also learn all the facts about Steam, since many of the fears people have are based on misinformation.

Maybe its just because we like Civ so much and just don't like steam?

Why is it we just can't have steam optional, even if they made it essential to have for multiplayer, but just beable to play single player civ without having to use steam.

I am not misinformed, I have used it for many years when playing cs and dod, I didn't like it, but it was good for the multiplayer aspect. Which I don't need for civ.
