Greetings,

In Civ V if you built a city on top of a resource that was revealed later on, you automatically got access to that resource. I have not seen any streams where this is still the case.
Does anyone know if this is still a feature in Civ VI?

Look like yes! In Drew's video where he played as japan he did that, he put a city over a furs luxury resource!

Yes and it happens for districts too.

Except you Can't put districts on luxury resources(or strategic ones that have been revealed)

Well, yea.. but that wasn't their question.

Interesting in that you cannot build on it (with a district) <if it is revealed> but it will harvest the resource is there is a district on it after it is revealed.

Odd. I will sometimes plop a city on a strategic resource just to make sure I can get it.

It does that because players can't remove districts once they're placed. So if you plop a campus on a hill next to a couple of mountains and then find out 15 turns later that the only iron in the region happens to be under the campus, you're not completely boned.

You got the resource but not the extra yields for work it, is that right?

in civ 4/5 i clicked on the editor button and moved the resource one tyle. Zoomed in 100% so i got as little clues for other resource spots.

Always hated those "mystery" resource pops.

Incidentally, that Theater District went on to become the #1 producer of movies featuring minecart chase scenes.

Which, in turn, later served as inspiration to one indie programmer to go on and make a very popular computer game all about blocks and mining. Of course, you could ride a minecart too.
