hah, sure they were cowards , but i think you would do the same if you "thought" you were gonna be flogged, tortured, and then hung.

and yes its a sad reality of my homeland. the people are literally held hostage by the regime, and its goons i.e. the Baseej (islamic militias) and the Rev. Guards.

And some people wonder why I think using the military (as a last resort, but a definate option) to stop Iran from obtaining nukes is a good idea.

And regarding the quote about they got what they elected. It is not a real democracy. They can only elect those the real leaders allow them (most who tried to run were removed from the ballots); and their President has no real power.
