Battersea is the first thing that comes to mind for me when I think 20th century building in Britain. It is very famous and rather unique. That said, I would have preferred the Crystal Palace

Sure, if you want to go 20th century it would be a good pick. Isn't the Crystal Palace basically the inspiration for the World's Fair Wonder for the Cultural Victory, though?

I never heard of Battersea before but aside from making me think of Fish and Chips it looks cool

To my eye, it more resembles the Palais du Champ-de-Mars from the 1878 Paris expo—the copper roof is key.
