Yeah I just got invaded by my freindly neihborhood superpower China. I wacthed as they swallowed up Khazakstan ( scenario),and North Korea both of whom I had given techs and resourses to prop up to prvent that from happening. Then I wacthed as they invaded Pakistan and propped them up too. But with Pakistan on the verge of collasp I realized I had to do something so I blockaed Pakistani cities to prevent it from falling to China. Must have annoyed them because they attaked me. We traded artillery fire and I got blitzed by Chinese armor. Fourtanley my defense held and I counterattacked and launced air strikes against them folllowed by infantry skriimishes along the mountinous border in Tibet. I attacked with my armor north of Arunchul Pradesh. It countined like that with attack and counterattack with neithr of us gaining ground. At one point Pakistan declared on me and I swallowed them. I also built a grand allaince consisting of Europen Union, Russia, Iran, South East Asia, South Korea, and The Pacific Defense Pact. But sadly my grad alliance is not so grand and they are either too weak to help or locked in war aginst each other and all they do is kill the odd Chinese unit. So it's pretty much me and China. We've both taken heavy losses and the fighiting has been pretty musch restrained to the border. I made it a point to destroy roads and rail leading to the border so they have trouble getting there. The majority of the fighiting is only mountain fighiting which mean foot soliders. The armor figthing is only near Arunchul Pradesh. It's impossible to gain ground in the mountains and the Chinese have prevented any advances near Arunchul Pradesh.
So I need advice should I call it quits and make peace while my luck holds or should I march on Bejing?
BTW China is bigger, has a bigger army and has better production capicity and more resourses than me.
I'll post some screen shots in the next post

Yup, thats what it takes Silver 2039 when your country wants to be the one and only "future superpower" of the 21st Century (as in real life, heh, heh). Now don't you come over cryin' to momma when you have problems in your backyard ;) We europeans are "the past", remember?

BTW Silver 2039 I cannot get your posted links to work, is it me or my CPU? Please post the screenshots so we can advise. Sounds like a great game.

hey silver sounds like a great game but i really would like to see those screenshots.... they seem to not work??

Hard to say, without knowing more of the mod, but I would keep the war going while your happiness allows it. Continue to play primarily defensive for a while and then break out around the Aranuchul Pradesh area once the AI appears gassed. You should be able to bombard either Zhanjiang and Guangzhou from "your" territory and then send in the fast-movers to capture/raze.

Without knowing the details of the units, though, it's really hard to give more specific advice.

No it's Muffins WW3 scenario heavily modified by me. The units are all the same. The fixed gun and fixed solider are just a immobile cannon and musketman.

Ok some changes in the situation I tried to break out but I lost 5 MA's in the process so I pulled back. Mountain is still completly stalemate and bloody. I lost 3 planes in air strikes so i've temporialy grounded my air force until I can rebuild. My allies are utterly useless. I'm also wasting my GA building units to use as cannon fodder. I'm considering grabbing the peace treaty while I still can then I have breathing room to rebuild my shattered forces.

Hey Silver! Jai Hind!
Hey looks like the Chinese have you cornered just like the 1962 war. The best strategy is to use the Himalayas as a "Chakaravu" . Just like Arjun did in the Mahabharata. Fortify Defensive units with artillery in the Himalayan peaks. That should weather the Chinese Juggernaut, However leave 1 opening in ur line.... preferably near a city to attract the AI ... The opening should be about 3-4 movement points from the city...

Then build a corridor of death with artillery+infantry combo on the sides of the corridor.. leave the odd aggresive units to pick of weakened forces marching on the "Bait city" . Eventually the Chinese should weaken and you should be able to grab a few cities off them . I think you are sticking to reality in that you are playing India as a democracy ? It is unfortunate that a great country like ours sticks to the weak principle of Democracy ... We would do better as a Military state. Ah well getting offtopic. So yeah try it out. :)
Good luck .

Hi welcome to CFC and thanks for the advice I'll try it out. Also I stayed in Democracy because suprisingly I don't have war weriness. Must be because the Chinese started the war.BTW what part of India are you from?

Based on what I see, I think you need to build more artillery units. Use artillery to knock enemy units down to one hit point. Do not attack with MA or other offensive units before then. If you need to do this you do not have enough artillery. Use fast moving units attack units so they can return to defense of MI after eliminating their targets.

Defend your artillery with MI. Build MI armies if you can - the AI won't touch it.

You can probably beat the AI if they outproduce you by 5 to 1 or more. They key is not to lose units. Do this by loading the odds in your favor by knocking them down with artillery.

Has Iran been reduced to two cities? deleted...

Anyway, I would take everyone's advice. You need to gas the PRC's army before you can break out, and you don't have the forces to do that. Sign the peace treaty, re-build your forces, and try again. Oh, and a switch to Facism or Communism might not be a bad idea.

Looks to me like you've got them on the run. Don't sign a peace treaty, since they're bigger than you they're Armies will recover faster. You need to strike while the Iron's hot. Kill them all!

Erm, the fact he's caught in a war of attrition might complicate that just a tiny little bit.
