I'm lookin for ways and help making MP better

Obligatory statement: I like civ 5 a ton, and I love playing MP.

Unfortunately for the most part it feels like the MP player experience is pretty vanilla in that it doesn't seem to have any ability to modify it. So I was wondering if anyone on this thread knew any ways to make the MP experience more unique like a TSL earth map. Or maybe if you can somehow get mods into multiplayer. I'd really like to play a TSL map in MP, and I feel like it should be possible given it's just like any other customized map but idkh. Any knowledge would be appreciated.

There is a way to get mods to work in multiplayer: MPMPM
It's not too difficult (although the first time it's seems a bit difficult, but it's actually quite easy)

This way you can, for instance, add new civs, etc.
But make sure everyone you're playing with has the exact same modpack.
