It looks like I have solved the mystery of the rogue trade routes. I finished my turn and used Civitas to transfer Tsingtao to Germany. I loaded up the save to check everything and saw that the Kazan routes had appeared everywhere. Luckily I had made a backup of the original save which is posted here. I will let TNO know there is a bug with Civitas. Curtsibling dindu nuffink!

Just checked the Civitas thread and seen the fixed app. Tried again and succeeded in transferring Tsingtao without the rogue trade routes. At least the mystery is solved and we're back on track!

I guess Civitas has a few bugs under the bonnet. I am glad my name is cleared.

I was going to use the program for Overlords, but I am now glad I didn't.

This issue has been fixed in the latest update. As far as I can tell Civitas is now working perfectly.

I was always a bit sceptical about it being a ToTPP issue and suspected it might have been related to Civitas. The penny dropped when the same thing happened to my latest project. There was an easy fix there as there were meant to be no existing trade routes. Here it was not so simple to undo, so we would have had to go back regardless.
