I may be wrong, but you don't appear to be on my great list thus not yet created a character.
If you go to the other thread, note the guidelines provided in the initial post and thus proceed to make a character then that would be a cause for much exuberance.

How close to Canon will this game be? Is it a foregone conclusion that i would have the same fate?

Well, we having it have its divergence from canon here. So the only things that are really going to remain intact are the technologies, buildings and secret projects so anything could happen really. Though it would be nice to see some parallels to canon e.g it would be nice if Rick still was quite a heroic chap.
Also since one of the rules is going to be your character can only be killed with your consent or by another player's character then you wouldn't have to be subjected to the same fate if you didn't want to.


Also sorry all for being inactive on this for the past week, I've been playing at the Opera and so have had little time.
