Bug as per title and attachment...

I'm playing as China on a huge earth map at marathon speed and by year 1881 (forget which turn), it actually takes 2 turns to pass one year and by year 1971 (turn 1080), each game year takes 4 turns.

Would be nice if double-turn years went like: 1881, H1; 1881, H2; 1882, H1; 1882, H2...

... and quad-turn years went like: 1971, Q1; 1971, Q2; 1971, Q3; 1971, Q4; 1972, Q1; etc...

... and autosave filed named appropriately.

Obviously would need extended is the time elapsed per game turn can be even smaller, eg: months, weeks, days, hours(!?)...

Well, the autosave filename includes the turn number. Isn't that sufficient?

Well... we're having to make do with just that right now, though the fact that Civ5's autosave in such instances have *-.Civ5Save, suggests that there should be something after the hyphen yet Civ5 is returning NULL.

Still doesn't resolve the issue of the in-game display... and both would really want to be fixed to allow such scenarios such as WWI/WWII, where turns could be down to a daily granularity... rather hard to figure out if it was turn 206 or turn 296, beit in year 1914 or 1943...

I see your point, especially about the in-game display. Your autosave filenames display slightly different than mine. For example, most of mine look like AutoSave_0280 BC-0700.Civ5Save. There's no extra "ave" near the beginning of the name and no hyphen after the year. I do have one filename with the trailing hyphen and that's from AD 2050, so that may well have to do the multiple turns per year situation.

Err yeah. I was playing new game and the current autosaves got renamed from "AutoSave_0280 BC-0700.Civ5Save" to "0ldAutoSave_0280 BC-0700.Civ5Save"... and in the process of naming them back, got "AutoSaveave_0280 BC-0700.Civ5Save" instead of "AutoSave_0280 BC-0700.Civ5Save".

Looks like the more than 1 turn per year kicks in on the last turn (2050AD) at normal speed (or you playing on epic?)... and probably why the devs missed this bug.

Attached is a save from the first half of 1950AD... playing on huge earth at marathon... take quite some time to process a turn!:king:

The 2050AD autosave was generated from someone else's game. I downloaded the original 2050AD file to test a bug, so I don't recall the game speed.
