I trust Sid and team to continue doing their darndest to make a quality Civ. I trust that as they evolve the game, and introduce new features and modify old features, that they will do so in keeping with the Civ tradition. I trust that the game will continue to be open for modding. I don't think they'll ever dumb down the game. Nor do I worry that they will completely jump the shark and turn Civ into some RTS hybrid.

I don't however trust their publisher. I don't have faith that take-two/2k will see things the Firaxian way. I worry that Firaxis doesn't have complete say in how they build and distribute their game. I am concerned that the publisher will hurt the franchise. I don't trust that Civ will remain Civ.
