So, what are you? A Stormcloak or an Imperial? It's a hard choice. Both have pros and cons. No wishy washy answers. Pick one and stand by your choice, ya milk drinker.

Stormcloak Pros
Big supporters of womens rights.
Religious freedom
Fighting for their land

Stormcloak Cons
Racist pig dogs
Kind of a cult of personality thing going on
Couple of -really- crappy Jarls

Imperial Pros
Couple of -really- great Jarls
Racial equality
Continuity of government

Imperial Cons
Sexist pig dogs
Couple of -really- crappy Jarls
Foreign occupiers, basically

I usually play a run with each side of morality in games like this, but I always pick the one I'd personally stand by with the presently provided information for my first run. I picked the Stormcloaks the first time around. In reality I wouldn't really support either.

Stormcloaks are literally the KKK and the Aldmeri Dominion are literally the Nazis. If you pick Stormcloaks you earn a Fallout 3 -1000 Karma score.

wrt the womens' rights thing, I figure I should address that before someone asks what I am talking about. Pay attention to the hold guards. NONE of the imperial holds have female guards. Riften, Windhelm, Dawnstar, Winterhold, and the Stormcloak army itself has women all over.

EDIT: Hey Taillesss, I just took that quiz. I answered #11 "11. How strong do you feel on Talos? I will die, before I stop worshipping him." and it still said I was an Imperial! So guess I am voting Imperial.

If we're judging polities by the prominence of women in the military, Gaddafian Libya and North Korea would be feminist paradises. :p

Considering that that character's gender has no bearing on the game, I think women are treated pretty equally by both sides.

Counterpoint: Legate Rikke is far higher ranking than any known female Stormcloak officer. (And a Nord). This would be like if Galmar Stone-Fist was a female Imperial.

Crud, I forgot about her... AND that nameless female officer in the opening scene as well now that I think about it. Still, only two examples...

I've never bothered to go beyond the dungeon opener in Oblivion. Are there female imperial soldiers in that game?

As I play an Argonian, I'll have to go with the Legion. One strange thing I noticed is that many people will say that the Stormcloaks and the people of Windhelm are racist, I never encountered any kind of racism (except for one guy). I was expecting there to be at least a guard asking for me to pay for a pass or something like that.

The generic soldiers and guards are always Imperial males.

Empire because pragmatism. Aldmeri would overrun everything if not for Skyrim supporting the Empire.

Also, rasism.

Imperial on a serial killing spree against the Dominion, of course.

The general type fellow seems aware that I'm kinda sorta fighting his bosses, and he seems to be very wink wink nudge nudge about it. I think he doesn't like them either.

Yeah, this.

How are the Imperials sexist pig-dogs ? The legion's second in comand in Skyrim is a woman. If there is sexism it really doesn't measure up to the racism among the Stormcloaks.

Yeah, I had forgotten about Rikke.

I took the quiz, randomly guessed on a few since I'm not up to date on the mythos, and it came up Imperial.

So I don't like the kingslayer, I guess? Didn't care for Jamie Lannister all that much either.

Independent Skyrim = no more empire. Aldmeri wins forever GG.

So... down with Ulfric, the Killer of Kings.
