Initialize Renderer failed / Windows 7

Hi guys,

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but here's my situation.

I decided to buy a 400gb hd, so I installed it and figured I'd put XP back on. Since I didn't want to spend the time putting all of cIV on, I decided I'd dl the demo, and put that on. Well after it was done, I installed it and it loaded fine, no errors. But now, once the game starts, my land is all black. The people are fine, the minimap is fine, just the land is black. I can see the resource things like hammers and breads, but the land is all blakc. Oh, and the leaderheads are messed up.

Is it a demo-specific thing?

while the intel graphics chip sucks - it should work, your driver however is from before the original Civ4 was released so you should try a newer one. Also install Service Pack 3 for XP

I'll see if I can find a better version of the driver.

And will upgrading to SP3 do anything to help it run?

Back to Windows 7: You could try radarsync to fix up and update your drives.
