INSOLENCE!!! Revelation?

I was just reading a thread about the AI cheating to get to future resources in wastelands and Level posted that if you edit the fog of war pic (to make it transparent?) you can see the map too.

Come to think of it, if I set a unit from one spot to another and the path is covered with blackness, it can traverse to that spot without knowing what's in between!

Another INSOLENT quick fix by the Firaxis programmers, for the fog of war: it's just a graphic!!!!!?!?!!!?!

Well I did try it and no luck.. except units see farther away...but I'm still not sure.. maybe I got the transluceny wrong.. or something. Didn't check if I still had an active fog...
